The Risk Assurance team works within Operations. We aim to manage and mitigate risk through the Risk Register, assurance and process.
What technologies do you use?
Whatever we need to use! It depends on the project we are working on. It could be our administration systems, our customer communication tools or our Safer Gambling and Customer Due Diligence records.
What's it like to work in your tribe on a daily basis?
My day will usually include reviewing our teams reports, meeting with stakeholders to agree actions and improvements or scoping out new projects and deciding what we will deliver in our next two week sprint. We have a weekly catch up on a Friday morning where we discuss our individual findings as a team. Our team is very collaborative - although we have separate projects we are working on, we are always communicating, challenging and encouraging each other.
What's been your proudest moment at Sky Betting and Gaming?
I have just been promoted to a manager in my team! I have had four promotions in four years, and all of them have made me proud of my progress in the company and in my career. I am very thankful for the opportunities SB&G has given me, and it shows that SB&G is massively committed to developing its people.
What are your favourite three things about working for Sky Betting and Gaming?
- People and Culture - We work for a big company, however it feels like we are all working towards common goals. Our work events are frequent and we always put on a show – we threw a festival in an airfield last year! There is always a positive energy in the office.
- Opportunities – Whether its internal training courses or volunteering days there is always something going on that you can get involved in.
- Freedom & Autonomy – Nothing is stuck in stone and there is always opportunity to shape or improve how we do things.
An interesting fact that no one knows about you…
I’m actually a southerner – I was born in Devon & steadily made my way up north!
